Hi, I’m Paula.
I’m a mother of two, living in Singapore with my husband, two dogs, and a cat. Having grown up across different countries, having had a broad and varied professional career, and navigating the dynamics of a blended family, I’ve come to embrace the richness of life’s experiences. These journeys have profoundly shaped my beliefs and approach to growth, resilience, and connection.
Living and working across different cultures and industries taught me the importance of adaptability and has given me the courage to start over many times. At the same time, having a blended family has deepened my empathy and understanding of how to navigate complex relationships and change.
Throughout my career and personal life, I’ve learned that true, lasting change doesn’t come from strategies or processes alone—it stems from empowering people, fostering connections, and creating cultures where everyone feels aligned and valued. This belief has fuelled my passion for leadership, growth, and personal transformation.
Whether guiding executives to lead with purpose, helping individuals unlock their potential, or fostering harmony within families amidst change, my personal and professional experiences have reinforced my conviction that growth begins with human connection. I’ve found fulfilment in helping teams and individuals navigate complexity, overcome challenges, and cultivate authenticity and resilience.
Driven by this passion, I pursued advanced training in Psychology and Brain-Based Coaching and earned accreditation with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). For my clients, this means tailored support—whether you’re an executive seeking clarity and impact, an individual striving for personal growth, or a family navigating life’s transitions.

My journey
My journey has been one of transformation—not only with respect to the organisations, individuals and leaders I've worked with, but also with my own understanding of what growth and leadership means, both personally and professionally.

My belief in the power of people deepened when I moved to Singapore and joined Accenture, working with high-performing teams across Southeast Asia in the financial services sector. During this time, I refined my focus on sparking potential in others, guiding project teams and clients to navigate change with authenticity and clarity.
I realised how applying principles of human-centred leadership—grounded in empathy, connection, and vision— empower individuals to embrace challenges and achieve extraordinary results. These experiences solidified my conviction that leadership is about fostering trust, empowering others, and creating environments where people feel valued and aligned.
This philosophy is at the heart of Kakuaa Coaching, where I help leaders harness the transformative power of human-centred leadership to inspire teams, adapt to change, and create lasting impact.

Moving to Singapore was a leap of faith. I arrived during a global pandemic, knowing only one person—my now husband—after 15 years in Switzerland and a tough divorce. While some called it risky, I saw it as an opportunity to start over and reinvent myself.
With no professional network, I embraced the challenge of a blank page. Leaving behind a successful corporate career, I earned a Higher Diploma in Psychology, deepening my understanding of the human mind and my commitment to growth. Determined to merge my corporate expertise with this newfound passion, I built connections from scratch. After over 50 meetings, persistence led me to a fulfilling new chapter at Accenture, thanks to leaders who saw my potential.
The challenges of starting over taught me resilience, adaptability, and the power of meaningful connections. These lessons are the foundation of Kakuaa Coaching, where I help others navigate change, embrace transitions, and write their own stories of growth.

During a brief but enriching stint at UBS, I further refined my ability to drive performance and foster accountability. This period was one of significant growth, sharpening my skills in achieving results while upholding the highest standards of integrity and excellence.
Upon returning to Swiss Re with a fresh perspective, and eventually moving out of Finance to a more strategic role, my focus evolved from purely numbers and outcomes to creating a lasting impact on people and organizational culture. Leading diverse teams across continents taught me that true transformation doesn’t stem solely from mandates or strategies—it emerges when individuals feel empowered, respected, and aligned with a shared purpose.
I saw firsthand how a collaborative and inclusive team environment could yield remarkable results—not just for the success of projects but for the growth and development of individuals and leaders alike. Purposeful leadership, grounded in empathy, clear communication, and authentic connection, became the cornerstone of my approach. It was about cultivating spaces where people felt valued, understood the significance of their contributions, and could rise to challenges with confidence and ownership.

Beginning my career at Swiss Re in Zurich, I was immersed in the dynamic world of finance, where sharp analytical skills, adaptability, and resilience were essential.
In this high-pressure environment, I quickly learned the power of well-aligned teams—those built on purpose, respect, and open communication—to turn challenges into opportunities and achieve exceptional results. Success wasn’t just about individual effort but how people worked together, adapted to change, and supported one another.
I discovered that blending analytical rigor with a people-focused approach—trust, empathy, and collaboration—transformed strategies into lasting impact.
At Kakuaa Coaching, this philosophy drives my work. I help clients build resilience, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit, empowering individuals and teams to unlock their potential and achieve sustainable growth.

Growing up as a Third-Culture Kid was a journey filled with unique experiences.
For starters, it meant living without a sense of traditional roots - my family became my home. My surname often stood out as unfamiliar, my accent set me apart, and the languages I spoke rarely aligned with those of my peers.
Yet, this initial journey opened my world in ways I could never have imagined. Starting over many times was challenging, but it also meant I had friends everywhere, and distance became merely a physical concept. Building connections and forming bonds came naturally to me, making me more open to change and eager to explore the unknown.
These experiences form the foundation of Kakuaa Coaching, where adaptability, resilience, and understanding diverse perspectives are central. I create spaces for individuals to grow authentically, navigate change, and unlock their unique potential—just as I found strength and opportunity in every transition.
