Values are our moral compass
Values are our North Star in a constantly shifting and sometimes-complicated world. They are the super power of leaders. They act as our moral compass, guiding us through complexity and inspiring others to do the same. How often do you reflect on what truly matters to you and your team?
Recently, I had the privilege of joining a very thought-provoking session with Diana Wu David (CEO, The Future Proof Lab) at Catapult (thanks to Dr. James Andrade, Head Catapult Executive Leadership and Innovation Institute, for arranging it!). We delved into the pivotal role of innovation in leaders' careers and lives. Diana highlighted how innovation is not just about keeping up; it's also about thriving and finding joy in the journey in the middle of change.
Innovation flourishes when we understand our values and those of our team. They ground us, helping us navigate challenges while staying true to what we stand for, what really is important to us. By aligning our actions with our values, we pave the way for transformative change and inspire those around us.
So, I am curious —how do you ensure alignment with your values in a rapidly evolving landscape? And how do you foster a culture of innovation while ensuring alignment with your team's values?
